NPA Raids Police Station in Maasin, Iloilo

New People's Army or NPA raided the municipal Police Station of Maasin, Iloilo. Some eyewitnesses stated that they saw a group of armed men at 10:00 AM on the streets of Maasin befor the raid happened. The said armed group took Guns, The Police Car, Cellphones and money from the police station. No one was harmed in the incident aside from handcuffing and pointing guns at the policemen on duty.

According to Board Member Manny Gallar from an interview by RMN Iloilo, the armed group arrived in an Elf Truck and they are not less than 60 persons with full battle gear.

The armed group also left a note before leaving the scene and is headed to the Municipality of Alimodian, Iloilo. The police car was later recovered at Brgy. Cagay, Alimodian Iloilo. The Maasin Police asked for assistance from the military.
